We should applaud artists who are brave enough to tell their honest romantic narrative through their art and the fact is that I’ve never encountered homophobia and she has.
When you don't have self-esteem you will hesitate before you do anything in your life. You will hesitate to go for the job you really wanna go for, you will hesitate to ask for a raise, you will hesitate to call yourself an American, you will hesitate to report a rape, you will hesitate to defend yourself when you are discriminated against because of your race, your sexuality, your size, your gender. You will hesitate to vote, you will hesitate to dream. For us to have self-esteem is truly an act of revolution and our revolution is long overdue.
When fans at her concert in China were removed by the police for waving LGBT+ rainbow flags, singer Dua Lipa was brought to tears. In a social media post she promised to “stand by you all for your love and beliefs” and stated how proud she was of her fans who “felt safe enough to show your pride at my show”. Dua Lipa hopes to use her music in bringing strength, hope and unity to people from all walks of life.
I tried to dress like how I thought they dressed, which really in the end when I saw myself, I thought, “Oh my God, I look like Kyle's mother from South Park.” But I really tried to look conservative and speak clearly, you know, and listen and try and represent the best I could for people without a voice. If you’ve got a big mouth, you might as well use it for something good, like for people who have no voice.
Continue to stand and fight.

The crazy thing is I actually see myself in both photos. I'm not ashamed of my past! Through this journey of changes both physically and mentally I have just become more myself. I hope everyone can discover their true self the way I have in this new year.
We are seeing more and more queer artists pop up.
You have a voice, never be afraid to use it, especially when it can lead to more pleasure.
I consider myself an activist and as such it has been important to me to be very vocal about issues and make sure others’ voices are heard as well.
